CRITICAL THINKING

The development and clarification of attitudes and values where students are able to explore, challenge, think critically, consider and compare their own attitudes and values with those of others are integral to the New Zealand Curriculum.

Animals & Us provides opportunities for students to examine and reflect on the beliefs and principles held by those interested in the rights of animals.

For those who already have an interest in this topic it will be an opportunity to further develop and clarify their attitudes, knowledge and skills in this area.

For those who have not been exposed to this topic it will be a chance to think critically about the way we treat animals in society and provide an opportunity to learn tolerance and respect for those with attitudes and values different to our own.
